Born, raised and trained in Sydney, she received a full training in Classical, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Contemporary & Highland Dance. Her professional performing career started at 10 years of age with JC Williamson’s Productions and continued through her teens and into adulthood including television, commercials, trade shows, Musical theatre, contemporary and classical dance.
While still performing, Sandra began teaching with her sister Kim in western Sydney until marrying and moving to Canberra in 1981. Registered with the ACT Department of Education, it was a groundbreaking concept in 1986 but its success meant it became the model from which most similar programs now
available in Australia were developed. In 1992 when Betsy moved to Melbourne, Sandra became Director of the Betsy Sawers School of Dancing which became Canberra Youth Ballet School (CYBS) from 1994. Over the ensuing 18 years, Sandra not only maintained the already recognised high standards but developed this further, gaining international recognition across all genres of Dance. Many students have been accepted into all of Australia’s top professional
training schools as well as the world’s most prestigious professional training institutions across England, Europe & USA.
Consequently, former students are now dancing or teaching professionally around the world in all styles of Dance & Theatre – Classical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Cabaret, Acting, Circus etc
In 1993 Sandra trained as an Examiner for Royal Academy of Dance and enjoys the additional opportunity this provides to work with young children all over the world as they discover the joys of dance. Canberra Dance Festival was established by Sandra in 1994 & is still Canberra’s biggest & most successful Dance competition.
In 2000 Sandra & CYBS were invited to represent Australia at Dance Excellence International Dance Festival in Los Angeles – a huge Invitational week long event. Sandra is now the only Australian to have a permanent Invitation to Dance Excellence. Through this Festival Sandra’s work has also been recognised & applauded by Disney Corporation, resulting in several invitations to return to perform in Disneyland.

2009 Sandra received the ACT Dance Award for over 25 years of dedicated commitment to the development of Dance in Australian Capital Territory & beyond. Since 2012, Sandra has been based in Sydney, working with a wide variety of schools as teacher, coach & mentor.

Casey Seib
Casey’s passion for dance and performance has seen her become a versatile, highly knowledgeable artist. From a young age, Casey trained across a range of commercial, classical and contemporary styles and completed a number of formal dance examinations; most notably receiving a Distinction for her RAD Advanced 1 exam. As a young performer, a highlight of her competitive career was placing first overall in the Pro/Am division at Showcase Australian Dance Championships Nationals. During this time, Casey’s success also extended to her academic performance, where she ranked first in Dance for four consecutive years and received a Callback nomination for HSC Dance Major Performance.
Casey committed to full time training at Ev & Bow in 2021 and 2022 to further extend her performance capabilities and experience. Working with a diverse faculty of quality artists allowed Casey to become the versatile performer that she is today; equipped with an understanding of what it means to be a working professional in the performing arts industry. Here, she was given the exciting opportunity to dance at the launch of PENELOPE’s single BiConic.
Casey is not only an accomplished performer, but also a highly skilled educator. 2020 saw her complete a Bachelor of Dance Education at the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), which provided her with the essential knowledge and skills required to pass on her passion for dance to the next generation. During her time at ACPE, Casey also competed both regionally and interstate with the university’s award-winning cheer and dance teams; an experience which exposed her to the exciting world of cheerleading and pom. Casey considers her time at university to have been invaluable to her development as both an artist and educator.
Today, Casey enjoys teaching Dance and PDHPE within a high school context; where her role includes preparing Stage 6 Dance students for their HSC examinations. Outside of this, she is equally committed to facilitating the growth of young dance students and loves working with studios to develop strong, passionate and technically proficient dancers. You can also catch Casey performing as a cheerleader for the NRL Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs!
Casey is beyond excited to join the Vivid family in 2024, and cannot wait to work alongside the team to help their dancers achieve their goals.
